Branded MAPI Connector (OUTLOOK): Have a truly branded MAPI Connector (used for MS Exchange like features with regard to Collaboration and Sharing right from your Outlook). The installer section will be completely branded with your company name, company logo, your name in About, Your preferred name for the root folder name. This will be on per version release  basis. No other parallel service (including from Microsoft, Yahoo-Zimbra, Scalix etc) offers this. This fee based branding is offered to all clients but will only be viable for single tenant server clients of 1000+ as fee is independent of number of users since MAPI Connector itself is offered FREE. This fee is applicable on per version basis as all the branding have to be done and compiled for every version of API Connector released (which coincides with the core software version releases)

For Load Balanced Clustering, Integrating Third Party Applications for central Authentication

OpenLDAP Integration: OpenLDAP is installed on same server as Groupware or it can be a separate server for a load balanced clustered model setup (for very large user client base). The communication between the groupware server and the OpenLDAP is synchronized automatically if any changes are done on domain, groups, account class, user by Administrator or also the user modifying his own Contact Card (which is included by default in Domain Contacts Global Address Book). The synchronization mechanism can be anything of following:

Groupware Server --> OpenLDAP  Most common and recommended setup.

OpenLDAP --> Groupware Server (Possible but not recommended to minimize administrative hassles for Mail administrator.

Automated Conflict Resolution: If there's a conflict under any circumstances between the OPENLDAP and Groupware user database, then default setting is that Groupware server wins.

OpenLDAP (which is available for free so need no licensing investments) integration makes it possible to:

(1) Have external applications authenticate against the mail user database. This is what we do in case of integrating XMPP based IM server for chat communications. XMPP IM integration is dealt with in a separate section. Click here for details  This basically also adds the "Instant Messaging" component feature which is offered in BPOS service from Microsoft thereby taking our service still closer to the same but at much lower per user price.

(2) Have a Clustered setup with load balancing where it's very easy to scale up without any downtime. Just add nodes, reconfigure the mapping and all scales up seamlessly.

Project Collaboration Integration: Any PHP based project collaboration software running even on a different server can be integrated with the mail user database for central authentication.

Other API Based Integration: The Groupware server has a detailed and advanced API based integration possibilities. For example, you ay be running a Project Collaboration based software on some machine using PHP. You may want that Calendar tasks etc from The Groupware Server populates the calendar and tasks in the Project Collaboration software also so that You just work from Outlook through the MAPI Connector provided free and everything also gets updated on Calendar and Tasks on Project Collaboration software. This type of integration however is only dealt with on case to case basis so in case you have any queries on this please Contact Us with complete details and RFQ. This offers you freedom of choice of software to use rather than be restricted to a VENDOR Locked in software and keep paying steep annual license fees (OR CAL as they call it).

Pl note that none of Branding Service or third party application integration for central authentication  is part of standard offer. XMPP based instant messaging server just adds a nominal support fee per server and is independent of number of users on server. XMPP based service is only available for client with 500 users and above only.

Pl note For single tenant server clients OpenLDAP integration, setup and configuration is free but adds a small recurring support fee on per server basis independent of number of users on server. Since support fee is independent of number of users on server it doesn't increase the per user cost in general. So there's nothing such as CAL on our service.
